Fairness First Launch
Students will investigate fairness questions that grew out of earlier team challenges, study how questions and hypotheses work in social studies inquiry, use maps, images, books, and community voices to compare possible lines of investigation, and refine one clear class question with an initial evidence-based hypothesis about how communities can work together to make life better for everyone.
Days 9 - 21

Collect & Document
Students will gather evidence from books, maps, artifacts, photographs, interviews, and community partners; record where each source came from; and organize notes in a clear investigation record that can be used in the next phase to compare communities and support claims.
Days 35 - 47
Analyze & Visualize
Analyze & Visualize
Students will analyze evidence from maps, artifacts, books, photographs, interviews, and partner visits; organize findings across three world communities; create simple charts, graphs, and comparison maps; test emerging explanations with peers; and revise their claims before moving to final conclusions and action-storytelling work.

Showcase
Showcase
Students will present their investigation findings and class action work to families and community partners, respond to audience questions with evidence, gather and use feedback to strengthen their display and speaking, and complete a final reflection portfolio showing growth in comparing world communities, understanding fairness, and working with others.
