Launch
Students will enter the project by testing first ideas with school leaders, examining how dress code language changes over time, and using early evidence to identify what incoming sixth graders may need from a clear, welcoming campaign.
Days 1 - 2
Empathy Research
Students will gather empathy evidence from real users, historical examples, and school data, then organize what incoming sixth graders need, what may confuse them, and which questions should guide later campaign design choices.
Days 3 - 6
Brief And Concepts
Students will turn empathy research, history notes, and school data into a focused design brief, write a clear How Might We statement, and generate several campaign concepts before selecting one direction to carry into rapid prototyping.
Days 7 - 10
Prototype And Validate
Students will turn their campaign concepts into testable prototypes, gather feedback from real users and school stakeholders, and complete two visible revision cycles before preparing a refined prototype and evidence-based pitch for the next phase.
Days 11 - 14
Showcase
Students will present their final campaign kits and welcome packets at the New Look Launch, share the historical and data evidence behind their choices, gather authentic audience feedback, and complete a brief summative campaign pitch assessment that shows how their revisions improved clarity, accuracy, and welcoming tone.
