Students will launch the Kentucky history investigation by examining mystery artifacts, connecting clues to possible world events, and beginning to ask how those events changed life in Kentucky over time. They will also reflect on the Frazier History Museum visit with a quick timeline sketch and feeling response that captures an early idea for later research.

Students will gather and organize evidence from museum notes, books, maps, and primary sources to investigate how a world event changed life in Kentucky and how cultural blending appeared through immigration, trade, food, music, or traditions. They will test the strength of their evidence with a midpoint quality check, refine their focused question and source set, and prepare a clear claim they can build into their museum display in the next phase.

Students will analyze their collected evidence, turn research into museum-ready explanations and visuals, revise through peer feedback, and prepare for the family museum walk by clearly showing how a world event changed Kentucky and how cultural blending is visible in daily life.
