Launch
Students will enter the project through a mixed-grade Belonging Passport kickoff that surfaces examples of respect, inclusion, and leadership, introduces the investigation focus, and generates initial questions for later evidence gathering.
Day 1
Belonging Mystery
Students will examine clues about belonging and culturally competent leadership, generate and refine an investigable question, and co-design a simple plan for gathering trustworthy evidence through interviews, notes, and mixed-grade storytelling circles.
Days 2 - 4
Evidence Story
Students will gather traceable interview and circle evidence, organize it into patterns, test their interpretations with peers and staff, and turn their findings into draft pages and a short media summary for the Belonging Passport showcase.
Days 5 - 7
Showcase
Students will share their mixed-grade Belonging Showcase products with an authentic school audience, explain the evidence behind their conclusions about culturally competent leadership at Taconic Hills, gather brief audience and peer feedback, and close with a spoken reflection on how their thinking and collaboration grew.
