Launch
You will investigate how German occupation changed daily life, power, and survival in Poland and France by examining a first set of primary sources, hearing a community-connected perspective, and defining an initial direction for your own historical inquiry.
Days 1 - 2
Question And Sources
You will turn broad curiosity about occupation in Poland and France into a focused historical investigation by analyzing primary sources, testing which questions are actually researchable, and building a method you can defend. Across this phase, you will study how evidence type, perspective, and archive limits shape what can be concluded, then draft and revise a source-based inquiry plan before larger evidence collection begins.
Days 3 - 8
Collect Evidence Records
You will gather a traceable body of evidence for your occupation inquiry by documenting excerpts, recording source details, comparing perspectives across groups, and testing the quality of your evidence set before moving into full analysis.
Days 9 - 13
Analyze And Present
You will turn your collected evidence into a defensible historical interpretation, test that interpretation against competing explanations, and prepare a public-facing presentation or report that includes clear claims, limitations, and one specific wartime perspective.
Days 14 - 18
Showcase
You will present your Occupied Lives investigation to an authentic audience, defend your conclusions with cited evidence, and reflect on how this history shapes present-day European relationships, memory, and responsibility.
Days 19 - 20
