Conduct a teacher-supported family or community interview when available, or work from a curated oral history or memorial testimony if interviewing is not possible or appropriate. Capture a short audio clip, transcript excerpt, or detailed notes, then document what this voice reveals and what memory limits or time distance might distort. Add at least one connection to present-day European memory, responsibility, or cross-border relationships in your notes.
