Students will experience herbal teas through their senses, generate and refine investigable flavor questions, and create clear, testable research questions with predictions that will guide their tea blend investigations.

Students will design a fair and systematic plan to investigate their herbal tea flavor question by choosing an approach, identifying variables, planning data collection steps, and revising their method through peer feedback before collecting any data.

Students will systematically collect sensory and observational data for their herbal tea investigations, carefully documenting conditions, procedures, and unexpected results in their Herbal Tea Research Journals so their evidence can be used for meaningful analysis in the next phase.

Students will transform their collected taste-test data into visual displays, identify flavor patterns and surprises, debate interpretations with peers, and connect their evidence back to their original tea-blend research questions before moving to conclusions.

Students will draw evidence-based conclusions about their herbal tea investigations, clearly explain their methodology and data, acknowledge limitations, generate new questions, and present their final class tea blend and findings to an authentic audience at the Tea Tasting Event.
