Launch & Question
Launch & Question
Students will investigate recent and historical terrorism cases to generate a focused research question, test an initial hypothesis against evidence, and build a defensible methodology plan for the next phase. They will strengthen close reading, source evaluation, comparative thinking, and evidence-based writing while refining their ideas through structured peer critique.
Days 3 - 5
Collect & Verify
Collect & Verify
Students will gather and verify evidence for their investigation by selecting credible historical and contemporary sources, logging traceable notes with citations, checking reliability and bias across cases, and assembling an organized evidence packet that is ready for comparative analysis in the next phase.
Days 6 - 8
Analyze & Present
Analyze & Present
Students will transform their evidence packets into comparative visual analyses, test their interpretations through structured peer critique, and present evidence-based conclusions about prevention, response, and solidarity. They will identify patterns and anomalies across cases, name limitations in their evidence, and prepare for the final showcase by refining a concise, credible symposium presentation.
