Students begin with a short calibration using a model article set, map, and data visual to align how they record claims, quotations, paraphrases, source origin, and MLA-style citations in their Terrorism Case Investigation Notebook. The teacher conferences briefly with teams to confirm that their evidence criteria from the previous phase are being applied consistently. Students then set collection targets for the day across their chosen cases and source types.
