Students will launch the project by noticing space objects and space exploration artifacts, asking questions about how discoveries changed over time, and beginning an investigation notebook with drawings and oral ideas they will build on in later phases.

Students will refine a focused question about how space exploration changes life and understanding, make a simple prediction, and plan how to gather evidence with pictures, artifacts, observations, and notebook drawings before beginning full evidence collection.

Students will gather and organize evidence from artifact stations, photos, models, and peer discussion to answer their investigation question about how space exploration changed what people know and how it affects life on Earth. They will record observations with drawings, labels, and comparison charts, then revise one piece of evidence so it is clearer, more accurate, and easier for others to understand.

Students will analyze the evidence they collected, turn their observations into clear claims for a child-made museum display, revise posters and model scenes through peer feedback, and practice sharing evidence-based explanations for families and community partners.

Students will present their Mission Moon Museum board and Cosmic Connections gallery to families and community partners, communicate how space exploration changed what people know and how people live on Earth, and complete a final reflection using drawings, labels, and oral or audio responses.
