Launch
Students will launch the inquiry by testing motivation and attendance supports in realistic challenge stations, then turn first impressions into evidence-based questions, initial goals, and a traceable starting plan for their Personal School Success Research Notebook and Goal Map work.
Days 1 - 2
Reset Mystery
Students will investigate patterns behind school attendance and engagement by analyzing sample cases, testing motivation tools, and designing a personal method for tracking habits, supports, and self-talk over time. They will refine an investigable question, write a hypothesis, peer review a data-collection plan, and complete an early checkpoint that prepares them for sustained evidence gathering in the next phase.
Days 3 - 8
Track Evidence
Students will collect and organize traceable evidence about attendance, habits, supports, and motivation strategies; test whether their data supports or complicates their original hypothesis; use weekly rubric check-ins and a mid-project critique cycle to revise their Goal Map and routine plan; and prepare stronger evidence sets for later analysis.
Days 9 - 13
Analyze Impact
Students will analyze their attendance, habit, and motivation evidence to create visualizations, test interpretations, revise claims through peer critique, and finalize exhibition-ready Goal Map artifacts and a practiced Next Step Forum talk grounded in evidence, limitations, and realistic next steps.
Days 14 - 18
Showcase
Students will present their Goal Map Gallery boards and Next Step Forum talks to classmates, counselors, caregivers, and school partners, then use audience feedback and final reflection to explain what evidence shows about their growth, supports, and next-month plan.
Days 19 - 20
