Launch
Students will launch the medical terminology game-design challenge by decoding unfamiliar terms with a course word-part list, analyzing what makes a review game useful for beginning learners, and setting evidence-based expectations for the prototype they will build and revise in later phases.
Day 1
Refine Prototype
Students will analyze player feedback from rapid testing, complete two focused revision cycles on their medical terminology review game, and submit a refined 20-minute prototype with 48 questions, directions, and an answer key.
Day 2
Showcase
Students will exhibit their finished medical terminology review games to classmates and future learners, run a concise gameplay rotation, and demonstrate that their design is accurate, clear, playable in 20 minutes, and improved through feedback-based revision.
