Students will launch the Time Tinker Workshop by meeting real bakery users, surface assumptions about baking schedules, conduct brief interviews, and complete an empathy map grounded in direct quotes and time-based evidence to understand how managing minutes affects baking tasks.

Students will synthesize their bakery interview notes and empathy maps to identify patterns in timing challenges and craft a clear, evidence-based How Might We statement that defines a focused scheduling problem to solve.

Students will generate and evaluate multiple scheduling solutions to help real bakers manage overlapping baking tasks, then create annotated concept sketches that connect directly to user needs and accurate time interval calculations.

Students will build and test a low-fidelity version of their Bakery Timing System, document real user feedback, and revise their prototype to better solve bakers’ time-management challenges.

Students will validate their bakery timing system with a new user and present their design journey to an authentic audience, clearly connecting time calculations and prototype revisions to real user feedback.
