Launch
Students will launch the investigation by noticing shapes and numbers in community places, naming what they observe in shared evidence, and making a first model that they can talk about, revise, and use to set expectations for the project.
Question & Plan
Students will investigate where shapes appear in familiar community places, co-create a simple plan for collecting evidence, and make a first model that they revise after peer feedback so they are ready to contribute to the class showcase.
Showcase
Students will present their Shapes in Our Community exhibition to families and community partners, explain evidence from their models and drawings, respond to peer and visitor feedback, and complete a final performance-based reflection on how shape structure, revision, and persistence helped them solve problems.
