Launch
Students will launch the medieval manor investigation by analyzing how manor spaces worked together, co-designing a mini blueprint and class manor map, and setting research and collaboration goals for the work ahead.
Day 1
Research & Plan
Students will investigate assigned medieval manor structures, collect and test evidence from sources, plan accurate measurement targets for later scale modeling, and draft a museum-style information card that explains how one structure helped the whole manor function.
Days 2 - 5
Analyze & Present
Students will verify and analyze their manor structure evidence, turn research into clear museum-style explanations and visuals, revise through critique, and prepare to explain how their structure supports the full manor community to younger visitors.
Days 6 - 9
Showcase
Students will present their completed medieval manor structure models and interactive museum cards to 5th grade visitors, explain how each structure helped the manor community function, and reflect on how their research and teamwork contributed to the full class exhibit.
