Students will launch the investigation by analyzing embryo and forelimb image sets, generating evidence-based questions about evolutionary relationships, and using peer critique to strengthen an initial claim and evidence plan for the next phase.

Students will analyze embryo-development images and homologous structure evidence to craft a focused investigable question, write a hypothesis, and build a coded evidence plan they can use to justify evolutionary relationship claims with empirical data.

Students will present an evidence-based explanation of evolutionary relationships using embryo images, homologous structures, and a reproduction-related evidence tile, respond to peer questions, revise their display based on feedback from two classmates, and complete a brief scientist talk that answers one essential question with clear claim-evidence-reasoning.
