Students examine a projected rapid image sequence and tabletop card sets showing fish, chicken, turtle, and human embryos alongside whale, bat, cat, and human forelimbs. They complete a silent Notice/Wonder, then sort the cards in pairs into possible relationship groups, recording at least one visual clue per grouping on sticky notes and a class investigation chart.
