🧬 Embryo Coding Plan Sprint

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Effective Communication Content Expertise MS-LS4-3 MS-LS4-2 MS-LS1-4 Submission Required Grading Required

Teams examine a curated image set of fish, chicken, turtle, and human embryos plus a forelimb comparison card set, then use a teacher-modeled coding key to mark 3-5 observable traits such as tail presence, head size, limb bud shape, and eye position in a shared comparison chart. Each team writes one investigable question and one hypothesis about relatedness, then drafts a method and evidence plan that names what patterns they will compare, how they will record similarities and differences, and how they will handle one anomaly or unclear feature. Midway through, teams exchange plans for a peer feedback round: give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise using a checklist focused on evidence quality, clear variables, and claim justification.
