Days 1 - 3
Define
You will synthesize your research on the adolescent experience and insights from San Diego bands to craft a clear and compelling problem statement that defines the themes and emotions for your music album, setting the foundation for songwriting and creative exploration.
Days 4 - 6
Ideate
You will brainstorm diverse themes and musical concepts inspired by interviews with local San Diego bands, create multiple song ideas to convey the adolescent journey, and draft various liner note concepts that resonate with both personal and communal aspects of Generation Alpha's experience.
Days 7 - 10
Prototype
You will produce initial versions of your songs and album packaging, incorporating feedback from peers and influential San Diego bands, experimenting with different musical styles and lyrical themes, and refining these prototypes to closely align with the unique sounds of Generation Alpha.
Days 11 - 15
Test/Present
You will present your completed music album, including performances of select tracks, liner notes, and album artwork, to peers and community members, gather feedback, and reflect on how well your work captures the adolescent experience of Generation Alpha, responding to any questions and suggestions for future refinement.
