Empathize
Students will engage in interviews with classmates and community members, including a local event planner, to gather perspectives on what makes a party memorable and financially practical, using insights to shape their understanding of diverse needs and preferences in event planning.
Day 1
25 min over capacity (20 min available across 1 day)
Ideate
Students will brainstorm and sketch multiple budget-friendly party planning ideas in small groups, using collaborative tools to share and refine their concepts guided by real-world insights from a local event planner.
Day 5
Prototype
Students will develop a prototype of their party budget using spreadsheets, test their calculations for accuracy, and refine their solutions based on feedback received in the online collaborative forum.

Test/Present
Students will validate their party budgets and environmental strategies by presenting to a panel of community stakeholders, including reflections on revisions from peer feedback, and adjusting their plans as needed in preparation for showcasing at the Party Planner Expo and Fiesta Festivity Fair.
