In small groups, students collaborate with a local event planner to generate multiple budget-friendly and eco-conscious party planning ideas. They collect real-user insights and constraints, capture empathy notes from their conversations, and create a quantity-driven brainstorm document. Each group then develops concept sketches or storyboards, completes a feasibility/impact matrix evaluating cost, sustainability, practicality, and community needs, and selects their top 3 concepts with rationale. The group documents iterations and feedback from the planner to inform final concept choices, building a concise concept pack for the next phase.

Student-facing instructions
Your task is to work in small groups to brainstorm and sketch several party planning ideas that are both budget-friendly and environmentally conscious. Use the collaborative tools provided to document your ideas. Focus on using fractions, decimals, and whole numbers to ensure your plan is financially viable. Draw from insights shared by the event planner and aim to generate at least three solid ideas. After the brainstorming, sketch a concept for each idea that incorporates cost and eco-friendly considerations.
