Students will be able to sequence the geographic scales from the universe to their local community to explain how places are nested and interconnected.
Students will be able to locate the Dominican Republic and their community on maps and models to understand their position within the island of Santo Domingo, the Caribbean, and the Americas.
Students will be able to interpret map titles, symbols, legends, cardinal directions, and landmarks to obtain and communicate geographic information.
Students will be able to investigate physical and political features of the Dominican territory using maps, observations, models, and teacher-selected digital resources.
Students will be able to explain why knowing the geographic location of their community, island, and country is important by supporting conclusions with evidence from their investigation.
Students will be able to revise geographic explanations and representations in response to peer and visitor feedback to improve their accuracy and clarity.

Cada estudiante elaborará una secuencia de mapas y registros de investigación que ubique la República Dominicana y su comunidad, interprete convenciones cartográficas, documente características territoriales y responda la pregunta esencial con evidencias. Incluirá una reflexión sobre los cambios realizados después de recibir retroalimentación.
Experiencia geográfica interactiva: República Dominicana conectada con el mundo
Cada equipo diseñará, probará y presentará a la comunidad escolar una experiencia interactiva que conecte las escalas desde el universo hasta la comunidad mediante mapas, modelos, recursos digitales, estaciones, juegos o recorridos guiados. La experiencia integrará los hallazgos individuales, explicará la importancia de la ubicación geográfica y mostrará revisiones realizadas a partir de la retroalimentación.
