Students will analyze a local-style city economic problem through an AP Microeconomics lens, identify competing stakeholder interests, and build an initial evidence-based recommendation they can defend in later debate and policy writing.

Students will analyze a contested city policy problem through AP Microeconomics, draft a defensible debate claim with a tradeoff statement, test that claim through peer critique, and submit an evidence-based position that identifies both supporting and disconfirming evidence needed for the next phase.

Students will present and defend a city council policy recommendation using AP Microeconomics evidence, respond to stakeholder challenges in a structured hearing, give feedback to 2 peers, revise their memo in real time, and close with an end-of-year reflection on how their AP Micro learning applies to public decision-making.
