🏛️ City Council Hearing Defense

Teams deliver a 2-minute policy defense brief with a one-page visual or shared slide that recommends a city action and explains tradeoffs, externalities, taxes, elasticity, and monopsony where relevant. Classmates act as council members, stakeholders, and reporters, asking evidence-based questions after each presentation. During the hearing, each student gives feedback to 2 peers using a CER-focused note catcher, receives feedback on logical gaps or weak warrants, and makes a brief revision to the individual policy memo before submitting it with an evidence log and a 3-sentence end-of-year AP Micro reflection.
