Question & Plan
Students will read and analyze the opening of The Crucible, use hexagonal thinking to prototype evidence-based bricks, and develop focused inquiry questions about fear, power, ideology, and human impact. They will test possible connections, establish research and source-credibility methods, assign collaborative roles, and revise an inquiry blueprint through peer and teacher feedback before beginning substantial research.

Gather & Document
Students will read The Crucible daily while systematically gathering, evaluating, and documenting literary, historical, visual, and oral-history evidence. They will use full hexagonal-thinking protocols to interpret relationships, challenge preliminary conclusions, and prototype four color-coded brick types. Every day concludes with an exit ticket naming one academic success, one challenge, and one next-step goal; on Days 9, 12, 14, and 15, students will also complete a hexagonal-thinking exit slip identifying a connection, uncertainty, and research need.
