Students will explore geographic, natural, economic, and cultural clues from the Caribbean, use basic map tools to situate the Dominican Republic, and refine investigable questions that will guide the project.

Students will transform the essential question into a focused comparative investigation, select Caribbean territories, formulate a provisional hypothesis, and create a peer-reviewed method for gathering and evaluating geographic, natural, economic, and cultural evidence.

Los estudiantes recopilarán, contrastarán y documentarán evidencias geográficas, naturales, económicas y culturales sobre la República Dominicana y otros territorios caribeños. Students will analyze geographic and cultural evidence, test their hypotheses, identify patterns and contradictions, and revise their portfolios and fair-station artifacts before the showcase.

Students will refine and present an interactive Caribbean geography fair station, defend evidence-based conclusions about the Dominican Republic and other islands, respond to an authentic audience, and document final learning.
