Students will launch the project by sorting safe school materials, connecting everyday items to natural resources, and creating a first drawing of an Earth-care habit that they will investigate and improve in later phases.

Students will sort school materials, observe shared spaces, listen to a school adult, and combine evidence into a visual needs chart that will guide an Earth-care improvement.

Students will turn evidence about school users’ needs into a focused design question, sketch several different Earth-care improvements, use peer feedback to revise an idea, and select a team design supported by evidence.

Students will build a low-fidelity Earth-care improvement, test it with classmates and a school user, complete two documented revisions, and prepare a clear explanation for the Earth Care Gallery Walk.

Students will share their revised school Earth-care improvements with an authentic audience, use peer and visitor responses to make a final change, explain how their designs help the school, and reflect on their learning and contributions.
