Learning Goals & Products

Learning Goals

1

Students will be able to explain how bees move pollen between flowers and help fruits and seeds grow using pictures, labels, and simple oral evidence.

2

Students will be able to develop a simple model that mimics how a bee pollinates flowers using classroom materials such as pom-poms, cotton swabs, or pipe cleaners.

3

Students will be able to gather and record observations from flowers, fruit, seeds, pictures, books, and partner talks to compare what bees need in different habitats and seasons.

4

Students will be able to ask questions and define a simple problem about how people can help bees at school or home by gathering information from a beekeeper, master gardener, native plant nursery, and texts.

5

Students will be able to compare bee-safe and bee-unfriendly plants and identify which flowers provide bees food across seasons for a school pollinator patch or care plan.

6

Students will be able to participate in shared research and writing by contributing drawings, dictation, notes, and labels to a class bee-help poster gallery and investigation records.

7

Students will be able to revise their bee-help poster or planting plan after peer feedback and a nature walk by adding clearer evidence and one new action that helps bees.

Honeycomb Helpers Fair Bee-Help Poster Gallery and Pollinator Patch Presentation

Small teams create and present a poster gallery, model, and short station talk for the Honeycomb Helpers Fair and Bee-to-Bloom Showcase. Their presentation synthesizes shared evidence about bee pollination, bee-friendly plants, and one concrete action their class can take at school or home.
