Students will launch the bee investigation by connecting bees to familiar foods, asking evidence-based wonder questions, and trying a first simple pollination model that sets up later research and poster work.

Students will observe foods, flowers, and bee images to generate questions, sort early evidence, and make a simple investigation plan for how they will learn what bees need and how bees help plants and people.

Students will gather and organize evidence about how bees pollinate flowers, what bees need in different habitats and seasons, and which plants are safe or unsafe for bees. They will use observations, shared research, and simple models to add labeled drawings and notes to their Bee Investigation Notebooks and complete a mid-phase evidence check that prepares them for poster and presentation work.

Students will use evidence from their notebooks, shared charts, and observations to explain how bees pollinate flowers, improve their bee-help posters and models, and prepare a clear gallery-walk message that teaches one practical way to help bees at school or home.

Students will present their bee-help posters and pollination models to visitors, explain how bees help flowers and people get food, share one action that helps bees at school or home, and reflect on how their evidence and revisions improved their final work.
