Students will be able to investigate how body mechanics, ergonomics, and safety techniques affect injury risk during common sport and daily movements.

Students will be able to interpret the sliding filament process and connect it to observable movement and force production in muscle action.

Students will be able to design a stop-motion investigation plan that uses accurate sequence, labels, and evidence to model a specific movement or injury scenario.

Musculoskeletal Investigation Notebook

Each student will maintain a research notebook documenting a focused question, method choices, source notes or observations, data/evidence, and a personal analysis of one movement or injury scenario. The notebook must show how the student used evidence to support or revise claims about biomechanics and injury prevention.

Stop-Motion Biomechanics Film and Evidence Brief

Teams will create a 60–90 second stop-motion film plus a one-page evidence brief that explains a specific movement or injury with accurate anatomy, sequence, and prevention or recovery reasoning. The final presentation must include shared findings, a method rationale, clear visuals, and a discussion of anomalies or limitations.
