Students will launch the geometric design challenge, experience the need for precision with compass-and-straightedge tools, and begin identifying the measurable criteria, construction skills, and communication habits they will need for the larger project.
Days 1 - 2

Students will investigate successful circle-based designs, define measurable criteria and constraints for their own work, practice the formal constructions needed for planning, and produce a team-ready design brief with a tested workflow for the next phase.
Days 3 - 6
Build & Test
Build & Test
Students will compare multiple circle-based design approaches, justify one with evidence, build a rapid prototype using formal constructions, and test accuracy, balance, and alignment with measurement data before revising.
Days 7 - 10
Revise & Showcase
Revise & Showcase
Students will use test evidence and feedback to revise their circle-based geometric designs, verify improvements with the same measurements, and prepare a concise engineering-style presentation that explains their criteria, trade-offs, revisions, and remaining limitations.
Days 11 - 14
Showcase
Showcase
Students will present their finished circle-based geometric design boards to an authentic audience, explain the geometric reasoning and engineering decisions behind their work, gather audience and peer feedback, and complete a final evidence-based reflection on revision, accuracy, and design choices.
