Learning Goals
I will be able to investigate my current training, recovery, and nutrition habits to identify how they affect size, strength, endurance, and game readiness.
I will be able to synthesize user evidence from an athletic trainer interview and my own performance data to define the main problem in off-season to in-season athletic preparation.
I will be able to explain how progressive overload, recovery, hydration, and calorie intake work together to improve athletic performance safely.
I will be able to analyze sport-specific demands in football, basketball, and baseball to match movement patterns, energy systems, and skill practice to game readiness.
I will be able to prototype a 7-week off-season training plan that combines strength sessions, endurance work, sport-specific drills, weekly performance tests, nutrition targets, and recovery routines.
I will be able to justify my training tradeoffs using user evidence, safety limits, and feedback from a certified athletic trainer or coach.

You'll create a user research and performance evidence brief
You’ll document your baseline fitness tests, training log review, sleep and nutrition patterns, and one interview with an athletic trainer or coach. You’ll use that evidence to define the main performance gap you need to address.
You'll build and test a 7-week off-season training plan
You’ll design a personal plan that combines strength, endurance, sport-specific work, nutrition targets, and recovery routines, then revise it using weekly test results and feedback. You’ll explain how your plan supports game-day readiness and safe progression.
