📝 Then and Now HMW Gate

Students individually write a final problem statement and a How Might We statement for their team’s paired poster station, using sentence frames that keep the focus on user need instead of solution ideas. They attach 2-3 cited pieces of evidence from their WWII and modern examples, including one note that compares a historical account with a fictional or dramatized portrayal if relevant to their topic set. The teacher reviews each submission as a milestone gate before students move into brainstorming.
