Students will meet a packaging designer, analyze real candy packages through an engineering lens, and capture initial ideas, questions, and constraints that will launch their Hershey container design work.

Students will turn stakeholder input into a measurable container design brief, compare multiple rectangular prism and square pyramid concepts with math evidence, and choose dimensions to prototype next.

Students will build and test both Hershey container prototypes, use measurement and calculation evidence to compare volume and material use, revise nets and dimensions after critique, and prepare a concise evidence set for the final hiring-panel recommendation.

Students will present their Hershey container prototypes and design portfolio evidence to an authentic audience, defend their recommendation with volume and surface area calculations, and reflect on how feedback and testing shaped their final engineering decision.
