📦 Design Brief and Constraint Map

Using notes from the industrial designer, sample candy packages, and the Hershey brief, students identify required features, target volume, and limits on material use, appearance, and buildability. The teacher models how to convert vague ideas into measurable criteria using volume, surface area, dimensions, and correct square and cubic units. Students then complete an individual design brief page and a team constraint map that lists required shape options, at least two constraints, and one question still needing evidence.
