Teams use a question ladder to revise broad questions into one focused question that can be investigated with sources, interviews, observations, or family input. Students share their draft question with 2 peer teams, receive verbal or sticky-note feedback on clarity and evidence possibilities, and revise. They then add a simple hypothesis such as what they think they may find and why.
