📓 Research Notebook First Page

Students begin the Animal Habitat Research Notebook by choosing one animal image set, drawing the animal and its habitat, and recording labeled notes with words or sketches about body parts, behaviors, food, and shelter. In pairs, students give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise one note or drawing for clarity or accuracy using sentence frames such as 'I notice...' and 'You could add...'. The class closes by previewing how these notebook pages will later support research paragraphs and evidence for a diorama, poster, or Google Slides page.
