Illuminated Initial Research Sketches and Artist Statement

Each student creates a one-page user-inspired design process sheet with thumbnail sketches, one refined illuminated initial draft, and a short artist statement explaining the story, symbol, and design choices. This proves individual mastery of manuscript analysis, visual vocabulary, and personal design decisions.
