Students will launch the inheritance investigation by rotating through trait and pedigree stations, collecting class evidence, comparing early interpretations with peers, and framing questions about how non-Mendelian patterns appear in families and populations.

Students will compare pedigree evidence, class trait data, and non-Mendelian cases to determine likely inheritance patterns, test competing explanations, document anomalies, and revise their team poster set and interactive model before the expo.

Students will present their Patterns in Inheritance poster set and interactive family trait model to guests, explain pedigree and non-Mendelian reasoning with evidence, gather audience feedback, and complete an individual performance task using a new family case.
