Local music venues in Sheffield, MA, struggle to attract diverse audiences due to the limited variety of musical genres played and constrained marketing resources. This challenge affects their ability to sustain vibrant cultural contributions and connect with wider community demographics.
Challenge Question
How can our original music compositions, created by blending various genres and styles, be strategically promoted through local radio and live venues in Sheffield, MA to engage and expand diverse audience demographics?

Students will collaborate with local music venues to understand their diverse audiences and explore ways to enhance their musical offerings through innovative compositions. They will contribute to community radio segments at WSBS Radio, gaining insights into audience engagement through professional broadcast experiences. Additionally, students will partner with local musicians and cultural organizations to explore various genres and styles, enriching their creative output and expanding their musical perspectives.
