Through direct observation, conversations with venue and radio partners, and structured analysis, students will define the core challenge, identify end users, and generate meaningful inquiry questions grounded in real community evidence.

Students will investigate the root causes behind limited audience diversity at Sheffield’s local music venues by conducting formal interviews, analyzing community and industry data, evaluating sources for credibility, and synthesizing findings into an evidence-based problem analysis and initial solution concept that will guide their cross-genre album design.
