Products

Students will produce digital exhibitions that highlight the Cold War's influence on current international dynamics. These exhibitions will consist of interactive timelines and multimedia presentations, allowing students to trace and showcase the impact of Cold War ideologies on today's policies. Additionally, students will build narratives through a 'Cold War Time Capsule' activity, incorporating primary sources that link historical decisions to modern societal changes. Finally, students will engage in role-play simulations such as the 'Cold War Case Files,' which will involve real-time problem-solving based on historical events, culminating in the application of diplomatic strategies and analysis of international relations shaped by the era.

Launch

Start the lesson with a dynamic 'Cold War Case Files' interactive simulation. Assign students roles as diplomats, spies, or journalists, where they must navigate real-time scenarios based on actual Cold War events. These roles require them to apply diplomatic strategies, fostering discussions around the essential questions. Immediately engage students by examining the implications of their actions, directly connecting those historical strategies to modern conflict resolution and peace-building practices.

Exhibition

Students will curate a digital exhibition that encapsulates their learning journey, showcasing interactive timelines, in-depth primary source analyses, and multimedia presentations. The exhibition will highlight the connections between Cold War era policies and their impact on today's international relations, featuring contributions from each student that reflect their unique perspectives and insights. By inviting peers, teachers, and community members to engage with the exhibition, students will exchange ideas, fostering meaningful discussions that challenge and expand understanding of global issues.
