| 1 | Welcome and Introduction: Share that we re about to take a trip to the future. Explain the basics (page 43-52). (10 min) |
| 2 | Essential Question: Present the day's essential question and discuss how it relates to the task of envisioning future innovative products. (15 min) |
| 3 | Individual think time: Present the scenario and then have the students journal their initial thoughts about the idea and how they would behave. (30 min) |
| 4 | Grouping: Students will get into groups of 3 and discuss their immediate reactions to the task and try to collect each other's pros and cons of the idea. (15 min) |
| 5 | Students will share as a class their richest ideas around this idea. (10 min) |
| 6 | Follow up with the "why" of this activity and how it connects to the project for the rest of the quarter. |
