Students will engage in observational research and interviews within the art community to understand how geometric shapes influence artistic creation, while identifying ways their concepts can resonate with young audiences at the elementary school library exhibition.

Students will analyze different works of art to identify how geometric principles, particularly the areas of polygons and composite figures, are applied creatively, and synthesize their insights to define a problem statement that guides their own artistic design process.

Students will brainstorm and sketch individual art pieces using geometric concepts and calculations, collaborate with peers to share ideas and gather feedback, and finalize the design theme for their group's collection.

Students will create prototype versions of their artwork by applying their newly learned geometry skills to determine areas and plan designs, collaborating within their group to ensure each piece fits the collective theme and using feedback loops to refine their designs for the final exhibit.

Students will showcase their individual art pieces, supported by geometry concepts, and present their work in an exhibition at the local elementary school where they will share their artist's statements and engage with visitors to validate their creations as impactful representations of geometry in art.
