Products

Students will create and display 'Thank You Cards' as part of a community helper art gallery, showcasing their gratitude for local heroes. Collaborative art projects depicting diverse community helpers will be prominently displayed during the gallery event, highlighting students' understanding and integration of multicultural symbols and tools. Additionally, a Community Helpers Parade will feature students presenting their costumes and signs, illustrating their learning journey and the multicultural perspectives they've embraced.

Launch

Start with 'Communities Come Alive Day,' where students engage in interactive stations with community helpers from diverse backgrounds. Each helper leads an activity that represents their role, such as practicing safety drills with firefighters or participating in a mini health check-up with nurses. This immersive multi-station event will excite students and set the stage for inquiry and exploration into the roles of community helpers in their daily lives.

Exhibition

The Community Helpers Parade serves as an engaging exhibition of the students' learning experience. During the parade, students dress as various community helpers, showcasing their knowledge and understanding through costumes and signs they've created. Local community helpers join the parade, interacting with students and helping to bring the roles to life. Families and community members are invited to watch, celebrate, and participate in reflective dialogues, further connecting the school and community in recognizing diverse roles and contributions.
