Students will visit the farm to observe and interact with the farm environment, ask questions about plant and animal life, and collect insights on farm operations from our community partners, which will guide them in understanding the roles and needs of both plants and animals on a working farm.

Students will brainstorm and sketch diverse ideas for their informational farm book, discussing with partners and testing different concepts for sections on plants and animals, supported by insights from their field trip and ongoing conversations with the garden steward.

Prototype
Prototype
Students will collaboratively create a prototype of their farm book, using drawings and simple text to illustrate key aspects of the farm, while testing their interview questions with the garden steward for refinement.
