Nature Walk to Observe Tortoise Habitats

You will visit a local reserve to observe tortoises from a safe distance, recording habitat features (water sources, shelter, vegetation) and observable behaviors using a data sheet. You’ll discuss findings with a partner and a ranger to surface design considerations for your enclosure, aligning with NGSS practices of asking questions, planning investigations, and analyzing data.
