Students will collaboratively develop focused questions about how metabolic syndrome impacts bodily systems and future health, drawing on prior knowledge and initiating discussions with peers and experts from the University of Arizona Nutrition as they prepare for their research phase.

Students will collaboratively design a structured plan for their investigation into metabolic syndrome, crafting specific research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, and organizing resources, while integrating feedback from peers and insights from University of Arizona experts to refine their approach.

Students will collaboratively engage with community partners and peers to systematically gather relevant data and evidence on metabolic syndrome and its impact on a selected body system, through research, expert consultations, and interactive discussions, to inform their research paper and slide show presentations.

Students will analyze and interpret the research data collected, collaboratively identify patterns and correlations in metabolic syndrome impacts within their chosen body system, and integrate this analysis with insights from University of Arizona Nutrition experts to refine their research papers and slide presentations.

Students will synthesize their research and presentations into a comprehensive visual pledge poster, engaging in peer review and expert consultations to address limitations and alternative interpretations, and finalize their findings to present at a celebration event with the school and community members.
