Purpose

You will use math to explain Apex Legends patterns and improve your strategy decisions. A sequence is a list. Each term follows a rule. Write sequences recursively from earlier values. That means each term comes from earlier terms. Write them explicitly from the term number. That means each term comes from its position. A finite geometric series adds repeated changes across limited rounds. A geometric series is a sum with a steady pattern. Build equations and inequalities. An equation shows two equal expressions. An inequality shows a range of possible values. Probability means how likely something is to happen. Use probability to compare choices with suitable accuracy. Share your evidence. Listen to feedback. Reflect on how your experience shaped your decision.

Learning goals

I can write arithmetic and geometric sequences in recursive and explicit forms for Apex patterns. A sequence is a list of numbers with a pattern. I can use finite geometric series to find totals from repeated in-game changes. A series is a sum of numbers. I can use probability to compare Apex strategies and explain which choice is stronger. Probability is how likely something is to happen. I can create and solve equations or inequalities for linear, quadratic, rational, and exponential situations. An equation shows two amounts are equal. I can choose sensible accuracy, explain my thinking clearly, and improve my strategy. Accuracy means how close your answer is to the real value.
