Students will launch their investigation by auditing La Palma indicators, completing key calculations, and developing initial evidence-based responses to the essential questions.

Students will investigate La Palma’s community indicators, verify calculations, choose defensible analytical methods, audit data quality and ethics, and draft evidence-based answers to both essential questions.

Students will present and defend their final assessment of La Palma’s community wellbeing to an authentic audience. They will use their investigation notebooks, one-page briefs, and two annotated spreadsheet visualizations to answer both essential questions, explain statistical and ethical limitations, and recommend a practical community action. Peer and audience feedback will prompt two brief revision cycles before students submit their final products and reflection.
